On the afternoon of the 18th, in order to thoroughly implement the deployment requirements of strengthening and extending the industrial chain and building and supplementing the industrial chain, actively cultivate "specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative" small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial chain, promote the formation of a closely connected and coordinated development pattern, and assist the high-quality development of the industrial economy of small and medium-sized enterprises in our city, the Harbin Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") organized 29 member enterprise representatives to visit Harbin Shimada Big Bird Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Big Bird Industrial") for a visit and exchange activity.

Since its establishment in 2004, the Association has always adhered to the mission of "serving small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs wholeheartedly", and has built a solid bridge and link between the government and enterprises.

Under the lead of Vice General Manager Li Juntang, the entrepreneur representatives visited the production workshop of Big Bird Industrial. Inside the workshop, the automated production lines were operating efficiently, and raw materials were quickly transformed into qualified products through precise processes; the operation areas were scientifically divided, and each process had clear standards, minimizing resource waste. The clean and orderly layout and the real-time updated digital display boards made the operation status of the enterprise clear at a glance. "High space utilization efficiency and well-organized management, this is the model of a ‘smaller in scale but well-designed’enterprise."

At the subsequent exchange meeting, Association President Xu Yan shared her thoughts on the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises based on the development example of Big Bird Industrial. She particularly mentioned the outstanding performance of Big Bird Industrial on the Beijing Stock Exchange - on the first day of listing on November 21, the company's stock price rose by more than 16 times at its peak and still rose by 12.11 times at the close, setting a new record for the first-day increase of new stocks on the Beijing Stock Exchange. "This is not accidental, but the inevitable result of the enterprise's solid foundation," Xu Yan emphasized. For small and medium-sized enterprises to go far, they must be like Big Bird Industrial and "truly engage in innovation and do business in a down-to-earth manner." She pointed out that since 2020, a number of "smaller in scale but well-designed" companies focusing on core businesses have rapidly risen. Big Bird Industrial's choice of lean management is completely correct, and this refined operation model is the key for small and medium-sized enterprises to break through development bottlenecks. Regarding the current hot topic of "new quality productivity", Xu Yan gave an interpretation that suits small and medium-sized enterprises: "New quality productivity is not a ‘forbidden zone' for traditional industries; instead, traditional industries need to actively embrace and integrate it." She used Big Bird Industrial as an example to illustrate that manufacturing enterprises can also cultivate new growth drivers through technological upgrades and management optimization. "Harbin's advantage is not only in the ice and snow economy, but also in its solid manufacturing foundation. The key to the development of manufacturing lies in talent, which is the common focus of our small and medium-sized enterprises."

Facing the recognition of the entrepreneurs, Vice General Manager Li Juntang candidly shared his insights after going public. He said that listing on the Beijing Stock Exchange has provided the enterprise with a broader development platform, but it also means stricter regulatory requirements. "The pressure is indeed greater than before, but our motivation to move forward is stronger." He hopes that his peers can communicate and support each other more. "Small and medium-sized enterprises can only develop steadily by banding together. Big Bird Industrial is also willing to share our experience in lean management and listing preparations with everyone."

This visit and exchange activity was highly beneficial for the participating enterprises. They all expressed that the lean management practices and innovative development paths of Big Bird Industrial provided a reference model for small and medium-sized enterprises.

President Xu Yan's interpretation also gave them a clearer understanding of new quality productivity and strengthened their confidence in focusing on their main business and continuous innovation. In the future, the Association will continue to build such exchange platforms to assist more small and medium-sized enterprises in Harbin to steadily advance on the path of high-quality development.
